Techtextil and Texprocess 2021 will be a hybrid event

In the Industry | September 28, 2020 | By:

Messe Frankfurt has announced that the Techtextil and Texprocess shows will be held together May 4-7, 2021, in Frankfurt am Main, and Heimtextil will be held concurrently with the two trade shows for the first time, sharing the Exhibition Centre with the fair for home and contract textiles. The postponement of Heimtextil is due to the current coronavirus situation, coupled with the associated international travel restrictions. Heimtextil is typically held in January.

New communication orientation and revised hall planning will be enacted. In the first stage, both events are being given new subtitles: Techtextil will be subtitled, “Performance. Function. Future,” and Texprocess will add “Technology. Efficiency. Progress.”

The location will also change and move to the western section of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre. The current Covid-19 situation means restrictions on major events are also likely in the future. Hygiene and safety measures will be observed, organizers say.

In addition to the physical events planned, the two fairs will place greater emphasis on complementary digital features for exhibitors and visitors. They include, for example, live streams from conferences, new digital presentation options for exhibitors and opportunities for digital matchmaking between exhibitors and visitors.
