Hyosung expands recycled fiber offerings

EcoNote | July 27, 2020 | By:

Fiber manufacturer Hyosung has expanded its 100 percent recycled fiber offering. In addition to its Global Recycle Standard (GRS) 100 percent recycled creora® regen spandex collection, the company will present a series of new recycled polyester and nylon yarns in the coming weeks. These new products include 100 percent recycled regen askin polyester with cooling technology, UV protection and rapid-drying features.

Another addition will be Mipan regen robic, which the company has dubbed the first GRS-certified, recycled, high-tenacity nylon made from 100 percent reclaimed waste. The company says it had developed this fiber for eco-conscious consumers. Global marketing director Mike Simko said, on announcing the new products, that Hyosung’s objective in developing the new fibers was to reduce waste.
