Trisit offers 3D knitted face masks

What's New? | September 10, 2020 | By:

Trisit Textiltechnologie, a textile manufacturer using 3D knitting technology, has developed a range of protective face masks to assist in the fight against COVID-19. The Achtrer Group company, which is located in Ulm, Germany, was an early adopter of Stoll flat-knitting technology for technical applications.

The company is known for its 3D knitted lampshades, handbags, sneakers, seat and backrest covers for furniture and automotive, as well as for special technical applications like integrated seat-heating or illumination.

Trisit is now manufacturing two distinct types of anti-pandemic reusable facemasks with filters – the Face Mask Pro and the Face Mask Vita. According to information provided by Trisit, the innovative element in Face Mask Pro is that, “the mask is simply attached to the neck with the Velcro strip without any contact to the ears and without binding. Furthermore, a pocket is integrated on the inside of the mask, which enables a quick change of filters.”

The mask is also light and breathable, and its shape adapts to the individual area of the face without obstructing the mouth, the company says. As a textile, it’s also washable and therefor reusable.
