The eighth Global Footwear Sustainability Summit will be held August 29–31, 2019, at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao. The event’s organizer, Shanghai-based Copex Global, says the summit is expected to attract more than 300 participants from the management of global footwear brand companies, as well as senior executives from sourcing, corporate social responsibility(CSR) and supply chain management.

The 2019 Summit will work closely with stakeholders in shoe manufacturing, textiles, brand, environment and other industrial ecosystems in the global footwear industry. The summit will address opportunities and challenges for global footwear production capacity transfer; China’s footwear industry and brand transformation in the context of the current political landscapes; sustainable development, including technological and material innovation, employee safety and environmental protection; rich, omni-channel user experience, sustainable fashion and the retail revolution.

The schedule includes presentations on footwear intelligence and speed to market in the 5G era; accelerating sustainability via digital transformation; how fast, responsible supply chains build a closed loop; and the consumption environment.

Participants will have opportunities to learn, listen, participate and network throughout the three-day event.
