Organizers report strong response to the Functional Fabric Fair

In the Industry | August 1, 2019 | By:

The organizers of the Functional Fabric Fair have said there were more than 1,800 professional visitors at the second edition of the show in New York, which took place from July 22-23. They were drawn from 22 countries.

It gave official figures of 1,100 visitors for the event’s launch edition in 2018. This year saw more than 130 textile manufacturers exhibit at New York’s Javits Center, which is nearly double last year’s number.

Steve McCullough of Reed Exhibitions, which organizes the show, said they were “energised” by the response from the textile industry. He added that the aim was to “raise the bar even higher in all aspects of the event.” In addition to the exhibition space, there were also a number of expert talks, which addressed topics such as trends, sustainability and technological advances.

Reed Exhibitions announced it will launch a second annual show in Portland, Oregon, which will take place in October at the Oregon Convention Center.
