Universal Fibers expands plants

Universal Fibers has acquired twisting and heat-setting assets for its production facilities in Gorzow, Poland, and Taicang, China. Both plants are integrated from extrusion to finished yarns in multiple chemistries, including type 6 and 66 nylon, and serve carpet manufactures in the commercial, residential and automotive segments. The company’s styled finished yarns include the Helix, Silkworks and Revolve brands. 

Universal Fibers Inc. is based in Bristol, Va.,with manufacturing facilities in Europe, Thailand and China that produce solution-dyed synthetic filament-based fibers for the flooring, transportation and industrial fibers industries.
