DuPont, Unifi announce new insulation

DuPont Biomaterials and Unifi have teamed up to create a new range of insulation products marketed under the name ECOLoft eco-elite. Sportstextiles.com reports that the insulation will feature DuPont’s Sorona bio-based fiber and Unifi’s Repreve recycled polyester. South Korea–based textile and apparel manufacturer Youngone Corp. is also partnering on the project.

The collaboration is expected to yield sustainable performance insulation solutions for cold-weather outdoor products.
