In the Industry | May 30, 2019 | By:

The complete lineup for the sustainable textile summit, Planet Textiles, was announced in an Ecotextile Newsarticle. Planet Textiles will be held June 22, 2019, within the ITMA textile exhibition in Barcelona.

Pascal Brun, H&M’s head of production sustainability, will deliver the keynote address. Also at the podium will be Susanna Wilson, HSBC’s global head of sustainable networks, John Rydzewski of Nike’s Global Water Program, and Omar Kuri from Mexican firm Vertical Knits.

Sessions will focus on the state of the industry; how SAC’s HIgg Index has affected progress; how the sustainable denim realm is faring; and will provide an opportunity for pitching new technologies and for discovering the latest breakthroughs in the apparel and textile sectors.

MCL News & Media’s four flagship titles have collaborated to produce an updated Green Guide, designed specifically for ITMA attendees and provided free of charge.

The show is expected to attract up to 120,000 visitors from 147 countries. Planet Textiles delegates will receive special discounted access to ITMA. Online registration is open.
