Argar put a spotlight on the technical and sustainability characteristics of its product line, ONE, at a hands-on meeting at Techtextil 2019,a recent Innovation in Textilesarticle reported. To meet the goal of creating textiles with lower impacts on the environment, ONE fabrics use recycled PET and organic cotton that are GRS and GOTS certified, meeting criteria for environmental sustainability, toxicity and the minimum social criteria of the International Labour Organisation.

The article says that the line’s polyester is 100 percent recycled and yields a 60 percent saving on energy resources and a 31 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, compared to non-recycled polyester. The PET is sourced from locales the company operates in, reducing transportation costs and unnecessary emissions during transport.

Argar’s fabrics combine flame resistance, high-visibility, antistatic, arc flash protection and antibacterial properties in a variety of products.
