The new Techtextil Forum will provide visitors insights into the latest developments in the technical textiles and nonwovens industry. Speakers will cover topics including sustainability, filtration, smart textiles, composites, textiles in urban spaces and textiles for medical application.
Specifics about sustainability include recycling, traceability of bio-cotton and bio-based coated textiles. Presentations regarding textiles in urban spaces will showcase textile concrete, living facades, high-performance facades and more. Smart textile talks will focus on integrating textiles and IoT, composites that incorporate sensor technology and the washability of smart wearables. Discussions about efficient workspaces will delve into virtual design, instant dyeing equipment and artificial intelligence. Other presentations will include high-tech textiles used in health care, protective clothing and clothing that manages heat, sweat and odor.
Organizers expect all four days of the Techtextil Forum, featuring talks, discussions and interactive formats, to offer a new framework for the exchange of information between researchers, developers and users of technical textiles.
The Techtextil Forum is free of charge and available to all trade visitors at the fair.
