Testing service provider and research partner, Hohenstein, has opened a textile-testing laboratory in Gurugram, India, offering its customized services in one of the world’s textile hotspots.

The business cites good, consistent cooperation, expediting a close exchange among the laboratories in Germany, Hong Kong, Bangladesh and India to ensure more customer proximity and faster order processing.

The new laboratory in Gurugram was launched and fully operational after a construction period of just eleven months. With approximately 50 employees on a total of around 3000 square metres, Hohenstein India will offer textile manufacturers, brand suppliers and retailers a variety of textile technology and chemical tests, such as performance testing, restricted substance list (RSL) compliance, harmful substance control, quality control and inspections, and expert report services.

With the new laboratories in India and Bangladesh, we’re growing a network of expertise from which everyone will benefit,” says Dr. Stefan Mecheels, who is managing the business.
