AFFOA offers “Fabric- The New Software” networking event

Industry News, News | November 22, 2018 | By:

Recent breakthroughs in fibers and fabrics are transforming these age-old materials into high tech for the first time in history, creating in the process new opportunities for fabric-based startups and entrepreneurs. Fabrics that can see, hear, sense, communicate, store and convert energy, regulate temperature, monitor health and change color will soon be possible.

Interested industry participants are invited to attend a networking event November 29, 2018 sponsored by Advanced Functional Fabrics of America (AFFOA). “Fabric- the New Software” will be held at AFFOA headquarters in Cambridge, Mass.

This event is designed to develop, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs interested in transforming the fibers and textiles industry. Attendees will engage with emerging advanced fibers and fabrics first hand and meet the 2018-2019 cohort of the Advanced Fabric Entrepreneurship Program (AFEP). Speakers and presenters at the event represent some of the current and future leaders, entrepreneurs, and startups in the revolutionary fibers and textiles industry.

The event runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and is free. To register, visit www.goafoa.org or https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fabric-the-new-software-networking-event-registration-52505412101.
