Johns Manville announces nonwovens brand name

Johns Manville (JM) announced the new unified brand name for its engineered products nonwovens business. The name “Evalith” for its nonwovens is being applied to products ranging from glass fiber-reinforced roofing membranes to air filtration.

JM’s European nonwovens business has produced products under the brand name since 2012. North American nonwovens product lines will now share the name. The name comes from the Latin word “evalidus,” which means “very strong,” a recent company release says. Johns Manville is a manufacturer and marketer of fibers and nonwovens for applications in aerospace, automotive, filtration, interiors and wind energy markets, among others.
