IFAI, Dept. of Commerce will host Smart Fabrics Summit

Registration remains open until April 23, 2018

The 2018 Smart Fabrics Summit will be held on April 24, 2018, in Washington, D.C., at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Co-hosted by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce and the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), the goal of the summit is to foster greater collaboration among the U.S. apparel, technology and textile industries and to identify the public policies that can help to accelerate the design and manufacture of smart fabrics products by U.S. companies.

The theme of this year’s summit is “Smart Fabrics: Getting Smarter. Emerging Trends in Research, Technology and Public Policy.” The agenda is now complete, and will cover:

Education and collaboration

Trends in public and private partnerships

Intellectual property protection

Solar-powered fabrics

Data security and privacy

Current developments in the smart and interactive fabrics market
