SYFA Presents USA Textile Technologies Conference

The Synthetic Yarn and Fabric Association will hold its next technical conference April 26 and 27, 2018, in Charlotte, N.C.

The conference, titled “USA Technologies: New Materials, Design and Applications,” will offer presentations on cyber security, sustainable textile technology, improving the scourability of fiber lubricants and about the marine debris challenge, among other topics.

Speakers include Dr. John Connaughton, professor of financial economics, UNC Charlotte, who will give a presentation on “The U.S. Economic Outlook;” Alasdair Carmichael, Carmichael International; Dr. Stephanie T. Sullivan, and Peto Verdaasdonk, DSM Dyneema; and Stacey Henegar, Technical Goulston Technologies, Inc.

The schedule allows for time for networking with textile professionals, as well.

The mission of SYFA is to promote the production and improvement of synthetic yarns and fabrics and to facilitate various end uses.
