Trelleborg acquires Dartex Holdings

Trelleborg has acquired the UK company Dartex Holdings. According to Trelleborg, Dartex specializes in the manufacture of coated fabrics primarily for the healthcare and medical industry, particularly coated fabrics for pressure injury prevention.

The acquisition broadens Trelleborg’s offerings and strengthens its position as a supplier of engineered coated fabrics. It was made through the company’s business area Trelleborg Coated Systems.

Privately owned Dartex has its head office and a production facility in Long Eaton, England. It has another production facility in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, U.S.. This bolt-on acquisition is part of Trelleborg’s strategy to strengthen its positions in attractive market segments.
