Formosa Taffeta Co. to incorporate DuPont’s Intexar

A partnership between DuPont Advanced Materials and the Formosa Taffeta Co. (FTC) has been announced. The companies will highlight the use of DuPont’s Intexar Heat, a thin, stretchable ink and film that can be powered to produce heat. The heating solution is designed to be integrated into smart outdoor clothing.

According to a DuPont press release, FTC is the first textile manufacturer to take advantage of Intexar Heat technology, as part of its Permawarm line, which includes the Intexar heater, connectors and control software.

Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd., headquartered in Touliu City, Taiwan, is a supplier of sports and outdoor clothing textiles.

DuPont Advanced Materials, a business unit of DowDuPont Specialty Products Division, is a supplier of commercially available electronic inks and compatible substrates for a broad range of printed electronic applications.
