New clean room processing facility for Aramark

Industry News | March 17, 2017 | By:

Aramark’s new facility in McKinney, Texas, will expand the company’s clean room services and create approximately 120 new local jobs. The facility will provide more service for the company’s customers who require sterile garments and contamination control supplies for the pharmaceutical, medical device, microelectronics, semiconductor and aerospace manufacturing industries.

The company offers products for clean room environments, such as the Aramark Acuity Goggle, which retains visual clarity after sterilization; MicronSwep, a floor-to-ceiling microfiber cleaning system; and CleanTrak, a proprietary inventory control system that tracks the history of every garment from first use to repairs and expected last date of use.

The 34,350-square-foot plant is the second addition to Aramark’s expanded clean room capabilities. The company opened a smaller but similar plant in Toronto in April 2015. The company cites that all of its clean room processing facilities are Class 5 certified by the International Organization for Standardization and use a proprietary wash formula with deionized water to help ensure garments meet Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology recommendations.

Aramark provides uniform rental and leasing services to service locations and distribution centers across the U.S.
