Alexium announces Asian orders for Alexicool™

Australian specialty chemicals developer Alexium International Group Ltd. has announced new business developments with the sales of Alexicool™ for international markets and entry into the global adhesives sector with the sales of multiple containers of Alexium’s environmentally friendly fire retardant to iTextiles, Alexium’s distribution partner for Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

New customers referred by iTextiles represent annual revenue of $1.7 million so far in 2016. This order is for the Asian market, and includes Alexicool, Alexium’s phase change material, and a specialty FR formulation of Alexiflam for treatment of semidurable cotton fabrics. New customers are in the workwear, tenting and transportation sectors.

Alexium has also received orders for multiple containers of the flame-retardant from two unnamed U.S.-based companies that manufacture adhesives and coatings. Applications for these adhesives include camping gear, footwear and home furnishings.
