Caroline Zapf named chief sustainability officer at Sustainable Down Source

Cincinnati, Ohio-based bulk feather and down company Sustainable Down Source has named Caroline Zapf chief sustainability officer. She previously served as project manager.

Zapf holds an engineering degree from Purdue University. In her former role, she researched and developed best practices for innovative durable water repellant (DWR)-treated down applications.

Sustainable Down Source is the creator of the DownTek and DownTek Zero-PFC, a perfluorocarbon-free hydrophobic down product. The company works to advance sustainable practices, traceability and responsibility in the feather and down industry.
