VOORMI unveils DUAL SURFACE™ UL technology

Pagosa Springs, Colo.-based VOORMI^®, producer of blended-wool fabrics and apparel, has introduced its DUAL SURFACE™ UL precision blended wool technology. The technology used the brand’s blending capabilities to deliver a mix of ultra-lightweight fabric, moisture management and durability.

Known for its blended wool for mountaineering and other outdoor apparel, the new technology delivers a lighter-weight merino-based fabric without sacrificing durability or performance. The technology locates a razor-thin layer of moisture-wicking polyester next to the skin while maintaining merino wool dominance throughout the remainder of the fabric.

DUAL SURFACE UL fabric weighs just slightly less than 100 grams per square meter, making it 30 to 50 grams lighter than currently available ultralight merino fabrics. The company’s precision-blended wool is currently available in three styles: a short- and long-sleeve Tech-T shirts and the Solarium hoodie.
