EcoNote | March 9, 2016 | By:

Sympatex Technologies, Unterföhring, Germany-based functional-fabric developer, will introduce its “Climate Technology® Seamless” fabric for the occupational-safety sector at the Lineapelle leather fair Feb. 23-25, 2016, in Milan, Italy. Together with its long-term Italian distribution partner PIDIGI S.p.A., the ecological alternative among functional textile specialists will present high-performance technologies as well as the latest laminate developments in footwear.

The outer fabric technology offers waterproof knitted shafts to use in any season. The knitted for occupational-safety use are 100 percent water- and windproof, breathable, offer abrasion and tear resistance, and are ISO 20335-7 certified.

Sympatex’s material is PTFE-free and PFC-free, bluesign certified and has received the Öko-Tex-Standard 100 certificate.. The technologies and procedures are based on the principles of ecological responsibility and sustainability with a special focus on the optimal carbon footprint.

Sympatex’s Moisture-tech® has also become popular in the occupational-safety sector: The high-performance shoe-lining technology appeals to customers who work in firefighting, justice, police and customs. It is used in work boots, as well as shoes for daily work in service. Through the material’s absorbency, moisture is quickly transported away from the foot and is kept away from the lining by an outward suction effect, offering comfort and dryness in all weather.
