Founded in Maine in 1865, Milliken manufactures custom-engineered textiles for a variety of industrial markets, including work wear, automotive, building and infrastructure, reinforcements and filtration products. Innovations include flame-resistant fabrics for industrial workers and military personnel, technologies that reduce the weight of automobiles to help reduce fuel consumption and emissions and floor covering constructed with 100 percent recycled fibers that are both durable and beautiful.

The awards were presented in November 2015 in Milan, Italy.
