Technical-textiles developer Serafin Group has acquired the Hahl-Pedex Group, retroactively effective to Jan. 1, 2015. Both companies are based in Germany.
Starting Jan. 1, 2016, Florian Kisling, current CEO of the Hahl-Pedex Group, will become CEO of the Group for Technical Textiles. Perlon Nextrusion Monofil GmbH CEO Christlorenz Bundi will join the advisory board.
The Serafin Group is active in the technical textiles segment through its Perlon subsidiary and specializes in monofilaments, synthetic brush filaments, abrasive filaments and dental/personal care.
The technical textiles segment will employ more than 660 people worldwide and generate a turnover of more than 130 million euros ($142 million) with a production capacity of more than 20,000 tons of melt spinnable polymers.
