EcoNote | November 20, 2015 | By:

ISOTEX Engineering and Covestro have entered a partnership to develop textiles using Covestro’s waterborne, solvent-free INSQINâ technology.

The companies will jointly promote environmentally friendly solutions for polyurethane (PU)-coated fabrics, addressing the emerging requirements from the sportswear, fashion and automotive industries. A new line of ISOTEX Engineering machines will use the INSQINâ technology to produce waterborne PU synthetic materials and other coated textiles.

Covestro (formerly Bayer MaterialScience), with headquarters in Leverkusen, Germany, manufactures high-tech polymer materials for the automotive, electrical and electronics, construction and sports and leisure industries. Trissino, Italy-based ISOTEX Engineering produces technologies for the production of technical textiles and composite materials.
