PrimaLoft No. 1 supplier of bluesign® approved insulations

Latham, N.Y.-based material sciences company PrimaLoft Inc. has been named the largest provider of bluesign® certified insulation.

Providing comfort solutions with high-performance insulations and fabrics, PrimaLoft was the first branded synthetic-insulation manufacturer to obtain bluesign certification for its high-performance insulation in December 2010 and now offers 16 similarly certified insulations, including staple fibers and continuous filaments.

The certification assures that PrimaLoft Insulation is an ethical and environmentally sound product. Bluesign system evaluated all aspects of PrimaLoft’s sourcing and manufacturing, from raw materials and chemical components to natural resource consumption and occupational health within the working environment.

PrimaLoft’s products are used in outdoor and fashion brands, home furnishings, workwear and hunting and military applications.
