Houston to host June JEC Americas Composites Show

The Paris-based JEC Group, a subsidiary of the nonprofit CPC, the Center for Promotion of Composites, will hold its 4th annual JEC Americas Composites Show and Conference in Houston, Texas, June 2-4.

The international event, which focuses on innovation and opportunities for the composites materials industry, attracts exhibitors and attendees from around the world and across the composites industry. It is co-locating with Techtextil North America, which presents all aspects of the technical textile industry. Techtextil North America symposia will address market developments, technological information, new technical processes and products, as well as international industry trends.

The expo at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center will feature former astronaut Ron Garan, who will give the keynote address on innovation. More than 30 speakers will present during five conferences; topics include composites in pipes and tanks; cost reduction challenges in the carbon fiber industry; aeronautics: mechanical architectures; improving fuel efficiency in the automotive industry and natural fibers.
