VOORMI unveils CORE CONSTRUCTION™

What's New? | January 26, 2015 | By:

Pagosa Springs, Colo.-based performance apparel specialists VOORMI, an innovator of precision blended wool, has introduced CORE CONSTRUCTION™ Technology. The innovation moves away from lamination and coating technologies to the integration of weather-resistant barriers and other functional cores directly into textiles, delivering a truly single-layer fabric containing an integrated weatherproofing membrane. Among products being made with this technology are:

  • ACCESS HYDRO, a lightweight hooded precision blended merino wool pullover that provides wind and water resistance.
  • DRIFT HYDRO, a soft-shell that integrates a water-resistant membrane and thermal insulation layer inside a Precision Blended Wool fabric.
  • AN/FO 3.0 Concept Jacket, a ski ensemble built with a CORE CONSTRUCTION interior liner, laminated to VOORMI’s patent-pending SURFACE HARDENED™ Woven Wool face fabric.

VOORMI, whose primary mission is to simplify and streamline performance apparel and outerwear for backcountry travel, will feature these new products at the SIA Snow Show in Denver.
