CoolVisions® introduces new WoolVisions™

What's New? | January 26, 2015 | By:

Dyeable polypropylene brand CoolVisions® has launched a blend with merino wool that it says offers advantages over pure wool and wool-synthetic blends. WoolVisions™ performs better than the other synthetic fibers, according to the company, cooling when it’s warm and retaining heat when it’s cold. It’s lightweight, quick drying, dyeable and has superior moisture control for year-round washable comfort.

CoolVisions® delivers a variety of inherent benefits, including softness, wicking and breathability, durability, insulating properties, stain resistance and it is environmentally friendly. Susan Lynn, global sales and marketing manager, says, “As a disperse-dyeable, synthetic fiber, CoolVisions is ideal for spinning with fine-micron merino wool, offering color and design options unavailable with solution-dyed polypropylene and wool blends.

Additionally, Lynn says it is a more sustainable product; its manufacturing process has low emissions and no toxic wastes. “Polypropylene is also highly resistant to stains and chemicals,” she says.
