IFAI Advanced Textiles Conference Oct. 13–14 features medical programming

IFAI’s annual Specialty Fabrics Expo and Advanced Textiles Expo Oct. 14-16 also include extensive educational programming with its Advanced Textiles Conference Oct. 13-14. One of the four tracks, with sessions over two full days, covers a variety of new technologies and innovations involving medical and biomedical textiles.

Oct. 13 sessions in the medical track the first day of the conference will cover medical nanotextiles, wearable technology in health care, woven narrow fabric medical devices and implantable drug delivery. Additional sessions discuss the process of getting FDA approval and a broader look at developing and implementing new technologies. Oct. 14 sessions will cover new techniques in woven narrow fabrics for biomedical and medical; regulatory hurdles for medical devices; and implantable medical devices for drug delivery.
