JB Martin Canada and Martintek Inc. become TEXONIC

Nicolas Juillard, CEO and president of newly formed Texonic, recently announced the buyout of all assets of technical weavers J.B. Martin and Martintek Inc. effective Feb. 18, 2014. Juillard had worked with JB Martin since 1988, becoming president of JB Martin Canada and Martintek in 2004.

Juillard and partner Gilles Desmarais, a long-time weaving, dyeing and finishing executive, have also taken over all commercial activities related to JB Martin and Martinek. Production facilities will remain the same, and Texonic will continue to offer the same line of products.

Montreal-based Texonic produces technical fabrics used in medium- to high-end composites products as well as personal and ballistic protection.
