The joy of chocolate

Out There | January 29, 2014 | By:

As if chocolate isn’t enough of a pleasure, now there’s a jacket that lights up when the wearer eats chocolate. In fact, it can sense a Cadbury chocolate bar in its pocket.

London design firm Hirsch & Mann designed the jacket on behalf of Cadbury’s public relations company GolinHarris, as part of its “Joyville” campaign. Using Raspberry Pi controllers, the coat is programmed to light up a large, blinking heartbeat when a sensor picks up chocolate traces.

But there’s more. Epaulets open on the shoulders, music plays from tiny, hidden speakers and confetti explodes from a pop-up collar. Not your everyday garment.
