SiShield Technologies, Atlanta, Ga., has recently completed a controlled test of its antimicrobial treatment on socks that demonstrates 99.99 percent efficacy after 25 washings. This compares with 46 percent efficacy for untreated socks. The company’s technology shields fabric from antimicrobial growth due to its powerful molecular structure that remains stable and functional for the life of the fabric. Further, the treatment withstands adaptation to “super bugs.” Well suited for use in apparel, towels and other products.
