Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, widely regarded as the fastest person ever recorded since fully automated time measurements became mandatory at the Olympic games in 1977, has inspired a new PUMA® athletic wear line with powerful extras. The sleek designs are made of polyester fibers embedded with a patented natural mineral blend from Hologenix LLC, Santa Monica, Calif. The company’s technology, Celliant®, absorbs the body’s energy emissions during exercise, converts them to far infared light (FIR), and re-emits FIR back into the body, where it is reabsorbed into muscle tissue. Products made with Celliant technology enhance tissue oxygen levels and improve athletic performance, sleep quality, health and wellness.

The proprietary blend of 13 ingredients in Celliant is integrated into the fiber, so its ability to recycle energy does not wash off or wear out. PUMA allied with Hologenix to bring Celliant to its performance athletic apparel, with plans to introduce the Usain Bolt line, featuring tops, shorts and zip-up hoodies, in spring 2013.
