New INVISTA™ nylon thread for CORDURA®

Polymer fiber manufacturer INVISTA™, owner of CORDURA® brand, has created INVISTA T420HT, the strongest version of its nylon 6.6 fiber. Two years of research yielded this high-tenacity fiber, which promises to add core strength to CORDURA fabrics.

The company expects the new fiber to launch a new generation of lightweight, durable fabrics used in workwear, military uniforms and outdoor apparel. Combat uniforms made with CORDURA NYCO, a nylon-cotton blend made with the new fiber, are currently being tested by an international military organization.

INVISTA T420HT will be used by performance clothing supplier Dickies. The company will incorporate the new fiber into its Dickies Pro Workwear collection for autumn 2017.
