Alexium to provide flame-retardant chemistry to tent supplier

Australian specialty chemicals and solutions developer Alexium International has agreed to supply its proprietary, environmentally friendly, flame-retardant chemistry to a major supplier of tents. Purchase orders have already been received, the company reports, and production will commence with the unnamed client. Once the full transition to Alexium chemistry is complete, the expected life cycle for production is seven years.

The new deal is the result of a six-month collaborative effort between Alexium and the new customer, a supplier of tents to the United Nations for humanitarian efforts. After significant research and development, Alexium produced a customized solution for the client’s natural-fabric tents that meets flame-retardant specifications and passes stringent durability tests.
