Tokyo-based composite-materials maker Teijin Ltd.’s Teijin Composites Innovation Center (TCIC) has obtained ISO/TS 16949 accreditation for the application of ISO 9001:2008 for automotive production and relevant service part organizations.

TCIC is an R&D and mass-production plant of Sereebo™, Teijin’s proprietary technology for mass producing carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP).

ISO/TS 16949 was designed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), a body comprising nine European and American automakers and five automotive industrial organizations from the United States, Germany, France, Italy and the United Kingdom. It defines quality management system requirements for organizations providing services for automotive products.
