What's New? | December 29, 2015 | By:

Bluestar Silicones, based in East Brunswick, N.J., will launch its newly expanded line of Silbione® soft silicone adhesives for skin applications, including wound and scar care, transdermal patches and wearable devices, at the Medical Design & Manufacturing West Conference in February.

Bluestar Silicones’ Silbione® HC2 2022, a new, soft, silicone skin adhesive designed specifically for wound-care applications, is a medium viscosity silicone gel that is compatible with most coating processes and applicable on a wide range of substrates, including polyurethane films, perforated films and open-knit fabrics. And for skin adhesive applications such as wearable devices, scar management and transdermal drug delivery, Bluestar Silicones introduces Silbione® RT Gel 4642.

In addition to silicone skin adhesives, Bluestar Silicones offers a full range of soft, durable, yet flexible silicone technologies ideal for wearable devices, including liquid silicone rubber (LSR), room temperature vulcanized (RTV) silicones and silicone foam.
