DRIFIRE partners with Australian FR provider

Chicago-based high-performance, flame-resistant (FR) apparel developer DRIFIRE® has partnered with Australian Defence Apparel PTY Ltd. (ADA) of Coberg, Victoria, in providing state-of-the art protective FR clothing solutions to Ergon Energy and the rest of the Australian electrical-services market.

DRIFIRE’s 4.4™ fabric and garments feature lightweight, inherent, arc and flash-fire protection. The company provides high-performance flame-resistant fabrics and protective apparel to the government, industrial and motorsports markets.

Ergon Energy supplies energy solutions to more than 720,000 customers across a vast area of 1 million square kilometers—some 97 percent of the Australian state of Queensland. Ergon Energy’s electricity network consists of approximately 160,000 kilometers of powerlines and 1 million power poles, along with such associated infrastructure as substations and power transformers.
