Vestagen unveils Vestex OR scrubs

What's New? | March 20, 2015 | By:

Orlando, Fla.-based Vestagen Technical Textiles Inc. has introduced scrubs for operating room (OR) personnel made with its Vestex active barrier textile technology. In addition to being embedded with Vestex’s antimicrobial and fluid-repellent properties, the apparel is made with tightly woven, 100 percent polyester to limit lint shedding, and includes its WarpDry wicking technology.

The company unveiled the new scrubs at the 2015 Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses Surgical Conference & Expo in Denver, Colo. Vestex-made medical apparel has an exclusive endorsement from the American Hospital Association.

The company says the product is the first health care worker attire to offer the combination of fluid repellency, antimicrobial properties and breathability. The fluid-repellency technology keeps body fluids and other contaminants from being retained on the fabric, so uniforms remain dry and stain-free. The fabric is engineered with quaternary ammonium antimicrobial protection.

The new OR scrubs join a full line of protective health care worker lab coats and scrubs under the myGuardian brand.
