EcoNote | February 6, 2015 | By:

The Woodsland, Texas-based Huntsman Textile Effects has extended its range of high-performance TERASIL dyes to provide economical, robust and reliable exhaust dyeing of polyester, polyester/cotton and microfiber and elastane blends. The new TERASIL TC disperse dyes allow mills to improve plant efficiency and productivity with right-first-time performance and excellent shade reproducibility. At the same time, the dyes fulfill OEKO-TEX 100 requirements, are bluesign certified, and satisfy the Restricted Substances List requirements of the major brands and the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Group.

The new TERASIL range comprises a complete set of intelligent mixes for dyeing medium to dark shades, with six colors currently available: yellow, orange, rubine red, blue, turquoise and black. The disperse dyes join Textile Effects’ TERASIL range of dyes, which also includes TERASIL W/WW for the high-end activewear and sportswear market and TERATOP for demanding automotive applications.

Huntsman manufactures and markets differentiated chemicals. Its Textile Effects segment provides dyes and chemicals to the textile and related industries.
