Depew, N.Y.-based SEFAR Architecture has introduced its 260/50 series for Vision metal-coated fabric interlayer for glass. The new combination of material thickness and open aperture is applicable for interior glass walls and paneling, as well as facades and second skins. The addition of 260 microns of material thickness with 50 percent mesh aperture offers a wider range of options for design in both interior and exterior architectural glass applications, while reducing solar heat gain and glare. The Vision 260/50 product is laminated within glass or other transparent materials as an interlayer to create exterior facades, curtain walls, windows and interior decorative partition wall systems without impeding views from inside.
SEFAR Architecture manufactures monofilament precision and ePTFE yarn fabrics and fabric systems for interior and exterior architectural applications. Its Vision metal coatings improve thermal insulating to reducing solar heat gain while allowing for light transmission. As a fabric substrate, Vision also reduces the material cost and weight requirements of a metal interlayer, while delivering the equivalent effect at a reduced overall cost.
