Archroma releases compliance list

EcoNote | July 23, 2014 | By:

In response to the ZDHC Group’s June release of a Manufacturers Restricted Substance List (MRSL), which sets concentration limits for the chemical groups banned under the ZDHC Joint Roadmap, specialty-chemical producer Archroma has published a list of “ZDHC MRSL-compliant” colorants and chemicals for textiles and apparel.

In response, athletic-apparel maker PUMA will replace its own list, issued in 2011, and align with the ZDHC list. In 2011, PUMA had joined with the Adidas Group, C&A, H&M, Li Ning and NIKE to try to achieve zero discharge of hazardous chemicals in the supply chain by 2020. The group, now comprised of 18 companies, revised its roadmap in June 2013. Its list sets concentration limits for the chemical groups banned under the ZDHC Joint Roadmap.
