The Flame-Resistant (FR) Extremes® Arctic line includes parkas, coats, biberalls and hoods manufactured using the latest developments in fabric technology to produce outerwear that can withstand the toughest elements. Protection begins with the outer shell, made from an abrasion-resistant nine-ounce FR canvas, using Mount Vernon FR’s AMTEX™ Plus cotton/high-tenacity nylon FR fabric. The garments feature Carhartt’s proprietary Wind Shield™ technology to guard against potentially dangerous wind chills.

Worker comfort and ease of movement are also accommodated. The FR Sherpa lining traps air to help the wearer maintain a warmer core body temperature. Lightweight insulation provides superior warmth without the bulk. Other features such as multiple utility pockets and large, mitten-friendly zipper pulls make life on the job easier; the parka and coat even have an inner radio pocket with a pass-through for a microphone and cord.
