Ballistics afoot

High-end men’s clothing maker, Over All Mastercloth (O.A.M.C.) now offers shoes, as well.  As much as they are fashionable, these are no ordinary shoes. Made from (among other materials) Kevlar®, the shoes have been tested under a barrage of live fire and remained more or less intact. Kevlar is used in anti-ballistic vests, helmets and other apparel and gear.

If the Kevlar Radial Low shoes are meant to point out just how durable the company’s clothes are meant to be, this has been accomplished—fairly dramatically. The video can be viewed on the company’s website.

The shoes are made in France and hand-sewn.
