Tenting to the extreme

Out There | May 23, 2014 | By:

“Mavericks,” a new multi-purpose tent from outdoor gear company, Heimplanet, is specially designed for extreme conditions and is useable as a base camp or a group tent. It offers an inside height of two meters and more than 13 square meters of space. Its  structure was developed to withstand high winds of up to 180km/h.

Mavericks also uses the company’s IDG (Inflatable Diamond Grid) technology and its patented Multi Chamber Safety System. After inflation the inflatable structure can be separated in 10 individual air chambers to provide extra stability.

The whole tent is preassembled and can be set up by one person in very little time.
